Belmond Venice Simplon Orient Express
Luxury Train Travel REBORN
To embark on a voyage aboard the Orient Express by Belmond is to become part of its ever-changing history.
As the gleaming carriages arrive into the station and the uniformed steward welcomes guests aboard, you’ll know that you’re about to embark on the journey of a lifetime while reliving the style and glamour of travel by train.
Though associated with the glamour of the Roaring Twenties, the golden age of train travel is still alive and well today. You will savor beautiful surroundings, dine on spectacular cuisine, and connect with like-minded adventurers united in the shared joy of travel. While the trip may not be long, while riding along on the Orient Express train, the journey really is just as important as the destination.
THE TRAIN
Belmond’s Venice Simplon Orient Express is unlike anything else you’ve experienced. Carriages date to the 1920s and ‘30s, carefully restored to their former style to recreate one of the finest luxury travel experiences the world has ever known.
During the day, Double Cabins are configured as a lounge with a banquette sofa, footstool and small table. At night the cabin becomes a cosey sleeper car style bedroom with two beds.
In keeping with the tradition of the train, all cabins have their own powder room with hot and cold water, complete with plush towels, soap, dressing robes and slippers. A full bathroom is situated at the end of each of the train’s carriages.
The new Grand Suites offer the pinnacle of luxury and space, complete with a full shower, either double or twin beds, a separate lounge area and a host of luxurious extras including free flowing champagne and special amenities.
The Bar Car serves as an elegant social hub by day, and a lively piano bar by night – the place to be seen sipping cocktails and singing along to classic tunes as the train sweeps through stunning landscapes.
DINING
Exceptional European cuisine is freshly prepared in the train’s kitchen by Chef Christian Bodiguel and his skilled team.
Fresh ingredients are taken on board at each stop along the Orient Express’s journey. Set-menus are included as part of your trip; drinks and à la carte options are available at an additional charge.
Three beautifully restored 1920s restaurant cars are the perfect setting for fine-dining aboard the train. Côte d’Azur boasts specially commissioned Lalique glass panels, Etoile Du Nord features floral designs and green accents, and L’Oriental strikes an exotic note with black lacquer panels.
