Venturing through Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, the Eastern & Oriental Express traverses the most iconic rail route in Southeast Asia.
A luxurious private cabin provides an indulgent sanctuary to relax in, with picture frame windows perfect for watching the scenery unfold.
You’ll mingle with fellow travelers over cocktails in the Observation Car, and delight at gastronomic cuisine over dinner. You’ll become acquainted with local characters during offboard excursions and onboard entertainment, from village elders to knowledgeable historians.
Dining
Internationally renowned chefs create spectacular eastern and western specialties to rival the world’s best fine-dining restaurants. Each of their seasonally changing menus incorporate the finest locally sourced ingredients.
Lunch and dinner are served in the two Restaurant Cars, while a continental breakfast is served daily in guest’s cabins.
For an aperitif or cocktail, the Bar Car enjoys a convivial atmosphere with a live pianist before dinner. After, you’ll settle back and enjoy enchanting local entertainment.
Journey
The train’s signature journey travels between Bangkok and Singapore over two or three nights, encompassing landmark destinations along the way such as the River Kwai, and the Ubudiah Mosque.
Once a year the Eastern & Oriental Express ventures further afield on a 6 night odyssey, the Fables of the Peninsula journey. Guests will voyage off the beaten track on an exclusive tour limited to just 60 guests to locations such as the Cameron Highlands, the island of Koh Chaan, and Hat Wanakon Beach on an exclusive tour.
The Singapore – Bangkok New Year Celebration is the perfect ending to the year with traditional Thai dancers and a sumptuous dinner, followed by sensational fireworks to bring in the new year.
